Limit payment module choices for only a few items

Is there a way to allow payment options per item or group of items.

For instance. I would like to ONLY allow paypal checkout for ONE item. A gift certificate...

Most of my other items violate their terms of service. argh...:censored:

Thanks!

... and what if my cart contains a GC AND a "violated" item or two?
