Changes made to Stylesheet not taking effect

I have searched the forums to attempt to address this issue and have tried a lot of the suggestions made here but nothing seems to be working.

Problem: Any changes I make to my stylesheet are not taking effect. This problem has only started within the last couple of days, I've never had problems making changes to my stylesheet before. My template is just a standard freebie - "nightfall".

I have had a look at my error logs and it doesn't seem to be a problem at my server's end.

I've used the Firefox Web Developer plugin to ascertain exactly where my stylesheet is located.

I don't think I have a duplicate stylesheet anywhere, I think I've searched pretty thouroghly.

What are the possible causes for this sort of problem? I'm doing a bit of this one --> :frusty:

if you are definetely sure you are altering the correct css file then another possible clause might be related to cache, either your server may have a cache program installed and may take some time before it refreshes to your browser or your browsers cache

I nornally press CTRL F5 to reload pages and if that fails, if delete my cache/history in my browser

one thing i sometimes do when checking changes have saved is load the url to that page in your browser
ie your css includes/templates/nightfall/css/stylesheet.css

see if your changes are in there, if not then you are altering the wrong css

You're right Rob, it was a cache problem, pressing CTRL F5 was all that was needed! Thank you so much for solving my problem for me.
