edited home page now site is dead

Hi, was editing home page, now site is dead. I can ping the site so it is not down. I must have dropped a tag or something. I have the text saved and was wondering if someone would mind looking at it or suggesting a tool that could validate the page. I did not want to paste the page in here as it is very large.

Thanks

Re: edited home page now site is dead

Hi again!

Thanks for chiming in. Don't know where to look? I did download the error log php file. I will try to get installed.

This happened to me before and had to use a backup file. Now the backup file does not work. I was wondering what else could have been affected while editing the home page?

Thanks
Bob

What version of Zencart? If it's 1.3.9X, that mod is built in, and the log files are in your /cache folder.

Re: edited home page now site is dead

Hi stevesh,

I put the configure.php in a local folder as advised and found the error. It was in the meta_tag file. Geez. Did 2 things at once and got focused on the last change I made which pushed me to believing that was where the problem was.

Problem solved but have some font issues, but that I can work out.

Thanks Again for your time. I really do appreciate it!!!

Regards
bob
