Show all products in category when top category is clicked

Hi There,

My client would like all products within the Top Category and it's Sub Categories to appear when the top category link is clicked.

I am sure this is possible with a little tweeking of the code and wondered if someone can please help me with this.

They would also like for there to be an additional link in the category sidebar under each top category i.e.

SHOES (this shows all shoes)
ALL SHOES (this is the additional link to show all shoes)
HEELS
FLATS
CLASSIC BOOTS

I've been looking for this forever with no solution. The best workaround I came up with was to use the New Products Module ONLY on the Category Page as it is filtered based upon the Top Level category. I could then set the number of products per row to mimick that of my normal product listing. The only drawbacks are there are no navTopLinks to additional pages, and the new products module selects products at random.
