Override file for admin english.php

Ok I may quite possibly being very silly here.

But I spent all morning banging my head on my desk using override "/catalog/admin/includes/languages/<MY_TEMPLATE>/english.php". Where "MY_TEMPLATE" and "admin" are my template and new admin name.

However the changes would not work. The only way I could get it to work was to over write "/catalog/admin/includes/languages/english.php" with my new file.

Does this mean there is no override for changes made to the admin english.php file or am I just getting it wrong?

There is no override feature in the admin area.

So when upgrading my version of zen cart how do I ensure I get the updates but keep the changes I made? :blink:

You have to save copies of the admin files you've changed and re-upload them after an upgrade.

Many Zenners do the same with non-admin files, overridden or not. I save them in a directory 'tree' on my local computer for each Zencart site.
