No Shipping Methods Listed in checkout

1.3.8a (yes i know i need to upgrade!!!)

When you go to select shipping method there are no shipping methods available in checkout - even though one is active with no zones.

What shipping module is active?

Do you have other shipping modules installed that are not active? If so, click on them and click REMOVE ...

I created an account, and when I got to checkout, I had the options of Standard, Next Day, and Saturday Special, and shipping prices wre quoted, though no shipper was named,

Also, I entered a US address, and the shipping cost was about 3 pounds - seems cheap. You might want to investigate Zones.

Why can't you ship balloons to Northern Ireland ?
