Free shipping help

Hi, I have been searching the forums for quite some time this morning and saw your posts regarding solutions to free shipping solutions. However, I am having problems with simple basic Free Shipping Set Up for all items in my store. I found where I could set free shipping in each product but that doesn't make very good use of time to apply this on hundreds of items.

Currently I only have FREE SHIPPER & FREE SHIPPING OPTIONS installed with these settings:
Free Shipper set to True;
Free Shipping Cost 0;
Handling Fee 0
Tax Class: Taxible Goods
Shipping None
Sort order 0

FREE OPTIONS
Enable Free Options Shipping: False
Shipping Cost: 0.00
Handling Fee: 0
Total >= [blank]
Total <=[blank]
Weight >=[blank]
Weight <=[blank]
Item Count >=[blank]
Item Count <=[blank]
Tax Class: Taxable Goods
Tax Basis: Shipping
Shipping Zone: --none--
Sort Order: 0

Once I get free shipping set so that all items do not get charged for shipping, I would like to create a free shipping banner ... which if you have any info on this subject it would be greatly appreciated ... however I have not searched the forums for this info yet.

Zen Cart 1.3.8a

Go to the Modules ... Shipping ... and click on each shipping module and click on REMOVE ...

Click on FREE SHIPPING! freeshipping and click on INSTALL ... do NOT change any of the default settings ...

Next, go to the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and set 0 weight means Free Shipping ...

Now you can either use 0 weight on the Products or set the
Always Free Shipping: **Yes, Always Free Shipping **

if you want to also enable the Free Shipping icon on the products ...

Thanks! All products now have free shipping enabled. in order to enable the free shipping icon I should selected the **YES, Always Free Shipping **. I have done this on one item but do not see any additional icon. Do I need to also check another setting to enable the icon?

You would need to turn on the display for the Product Type in the Catalog ... Product Type ... EDIT LAYOUT ...

Product Free Shipping Image Status - Catalog
Show the Free Shipping image/text in the catalog?

and set it to YES to show the Free Shipping Icon ...

I would like to have a pop up type banner that would be the width of the home page that would appear upon first visit to the home page announcing the free shipping. Is this possible?

How you design your site for the display of images etc are up to you ... but you might post that in a new thread ...

Peek at the Banners and see if those can work for you ...
