Turning Off STRICT ERROR REPORTING

We are using Zen Cart v1.3.9d/v1.3.9d with a brand new site. My developer turned on STRICT ERROR REPORTING but has since removed it.

But it still shows STRICT ERROR REPORTING IS ON across the site even though it is off. How do we fix this?

Re: Turning Off STRICT ERROR REPORTING

Go to Admin->Tools->Developer Toolk Kit
in the BOTTOM input search box, enter this: define('STRICT_ERROR_REPORTING
then choose "all files" from the pulldown, and click Search

They likely used something like shown in Step 2(b) of this article to enable it, so you can disable by reversing the steps in Step 2(b): https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82

Re: Turning Off STRICT ERROR REPORTING

I'm using v. 1.3.7 but because of heavy customization decided not to upgrade at this time. Our site was moved to Apachi server running PHP 5.3 so I'm getting tons of deprecated warnings which are being logged in /cache directory as i.e myDEBUG-1290783661.log files. While we are working on eliminating deprecated code and replacing it with PHP 5.3 language we would like to know how to (for now, while we are correcting errors) supress the utility which generates the log files with warnings.

Tried to locate the STRICT_ERROR_REPORTING code but couldn't find one. Could you please help and tell me what code to look for, where and how to stop logs on warnings to be generated? I was searching for hours... Thanks.

You'll have to remove the utility you added as per https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82
