Adding a drop down menu for charity donations to checkout

Hi, im running 1.3.9c. The situation is, were about to build a ecommerce store, and a feature of the site is going to be that a percentage of the order total will be donated to charity, the user will also be able to select from a drop down menu a charity of their choosing before finalizing the order. This charity select needs to go into the database with some relation to that order, ie, the order number. It doesnt matter if its in another table, just as long as theres an order number, with a charity. Im not Zen Cart developer, my background is Drupal development, and yes, we considered Ubercart but we'd rather use Zen Cart. Basically could someone give me an idea of where to start or a quick outline of what needs to be done? Thanks! Kev

Re: Adding a drop down menu for charity donations to checkout

This question gets asked now and then, and, so far as I can tell, nobody has taken on the writing of a mod that does this.

Adding a field to any of the checkout pages, especially the confirmation page, seems to be an advanced-level Zencart programming task.

Search the forums for 'charity' to see what others have asked and answered.
