Attribute Layout: Row rather than column (no images)

Version: 1.3.8a (just downloaded 1.3.9d, preparing to upgrade)

Column layout grid
Local Sales Tax Mod
Cass validation
Custom Template

Everything works beautifully!

I have searched FAQ and Forums, and unless I am using incorrect search terms, I can't seem to find a solution.

I am using attributes and would like them to align by option name in a single row of three, with the option values underneath each option name. I am not using attribute images on this example.

Identifying the proper template to override and customize is made easier if you view the source for the page. From your URL, you want to edit the content that inside a div with id="productAttributes". We can take that text and search the Zen Cart code to find out that you need to work with includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_attributes.php

So place a copy of this file into includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates, then customize the HTML layout for products that you see there.

Keep in mind that this file handles layout for all attributes, so you'll be turning all of them from rows into columns. If that's not what you want, you'll need to add additional PHP conditionals to figure when to turn your column display on/off.

Thanks for the assistance Blindside. Although I am sure your suggestion would have worked, I am not php literate and hate to mess around in the code if at all possible.

Turns out the solution was on the forum and I couldn't find it because I was using the wrong search terms.

I was able to do exactly what I wanted to, including adding attribute images, by following the great advice given to me here:

Route doesn't matter so much if it gets you to the right destination. Glad you got it working.
