Lost my admin drop down menu & tables

I have the newest Zen cart (Upgraded last week.) Today I got an order and noticed I had forgotten to size the company logo for the invoice and packing list, so I went in and changed the code as per the FAQs.

The dropdown menu and band across the top for the nav in all the admin pages disappeared. And on the Admin Home page all tables have gone MIA as well. The info is all still there, it's just one long column butting up to the left of the page. I replaced the includes/languages/english.php, invoice.php, and packingslip.php, the only three files I changed to the original unedited versions. No improvement.

I am assuming it has something to do with CSS and there is something broken in there, only I didn't touch that file. Can you tell me where to look and what I am looking for to get my admin home layout back?

Thanks.

Might try re-naming your image to the same as default
admin/images/logo.gif

Remove or re-name the currect imaage at aadmin/images/logo.gif to maybe logo.zen if you do not delete it and see what you get

Should not require any file edits...

Re: Lost my admin drop down menu & tables

The logo is NOT the problem. My admin nav bar and home page are broken.

Sounds like you've disabled javascript within your browser.

I have another zencart for a separate store. That one is working just fine. Is it possible to disable javascript for only one site?

Also, the tables for other admin pages are showing up without a problem. The nav bar is missing throughout the admin area. Drop down menus still exist.

I will try that.

My only question is why did it stop working all of a sudden? I have been running ZenCart on this server for over a year. I did upgrade to the newest version (d) last month, but the admin styling only broke this week. Very frustrating.

Thanks.

Now I just have to figure out what the directions in the tutorial actual mean. sigh

Re: Lost my admin drop down menu & tables

What happens if you use your browser to try to access http:// your_site.com/name-of-your-admin/includes/stylesheet.css ? (after already being logged in to your admin area)

The style sheet shows up.

There must be something going on with my host. Now the admin sign in page comes up blank. Grr.

Here is the error message: [26-Jul-2010 06:13:43] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.' in /home/content/59/4978759/html/shop/admin/includes/auto_loaders/config.core.php on line 94

Can I just replace that file with anew one or is there code that needs to be looked at? (Sorry for the delay in answering, I've been away from the computer.)

Re: Lost my admin drop down menu & tables

The quick fix is to replace the file with the original one for the version of Zen Cart you're using.
But if it was working fine at one point, then you should spend significant time figuring out who changed it and why, and when, and how.
