Where do I put custom configuration options?

Hi, love your project,

I'm using the latest version of Zen-cart as of this date to develop a plugin.

My development is going well, but I wanted to ask where in the database I should put custom configuration?

Should I just create new configuration_group and configuration entries?

Or is this only for zen-cart core code?

In which case should I instead just create a new table?
