selling downloadable pdf from a mac

Hi - I want to sell pdf documents and and mp3's as downloads from my shop. Does anybody know if I can do this from a mac? all the support stuff just seems to talk about Linux and windows.

That's because most commercial hosting uses Linux and Windows servers. I'm sure there must be some Mac servers, but I've never encountered them.

It sounds like you're considering serving your site yourself. I wouldn't recommend that, especially since quality hosting can be bought so cheaply.

Thanks for that quick and helpful response. Fortunately I'm not wanting to use my own server and I do use a hosting service. It's just that I am on an extremely sharp learning curve all the whole time and not fully sure of what I am doing or of all the technical terms employed! :unsure:

Zen Cart can certainly be used to sell PDFs and MP3s and more.

Yeah, you are so much better off using hosting from a proper hosting company. I'd never feel comfortable hosting an ecommerce site myself.
