Change email for order auto response

I am having trouble finding where I can change the body text for the auto response email that is sent to customers on completion of their orders.

Can anyone tell me where to go to put our custom message into this email?

What exact text would you like to change? or What existing text would you like to add your custom message "after"?
Is this "custom message" just some more static text? or is it dynamic?

We have a special coming up that will let customers get a two for one on the first three items they order and want to indicate that they are receiving those extra items. We are also changing shipping schedules so that shipments are sent twice a week and want to let people know this has changed and they can expect their items to be shipped within 5 days.

I think this should be able to be handled with static text.

Okay, I understand the business need. And I think you're talking about the emails that are sent when the admin marks the order as Shipped/Delivered from the Admin->Customers->Orders screen, correct?

But you didn't answer my questions. Which EXACT existing text do you want this new message to show up after?

Okay, so use the Developers Toolkit to search for "following are the details of your order":

That will show you where the text is stored. You can then insert your own text to appear alongside that text.
