Google Checkout - oops, we were unable to process

Hi Guys,

Really stuck here,

any ideas why when I add a product to the cart (there is a product in the toys section) then when you add to cart and click to use google checkout (fast checkout through google) it comes up with a google error page.

It's like it isnt passing the items through to google.

any ideas?

Since that error is coming fromj Google, you'll probably have to ask them. Do you have access to error logs for your Google Checkout account ?

Is it true that you need an SSL for the one click Google checkout?

I read on the google checkout website, that this wasn't the case?

I haven't used Google Checkout (yet), but I'm sure they require SSL.

so in short the only way im going to get this working is by getting an SSL? thanks for your advice

i have just tried the transaction in sandbox mode and it still didnt work. could there be something else wrong?

From Google's SSL page:

**You do need an SSL certificate, however, if you're integrating your order management system. **(That would be Zencart.)

If you're using HTTPS in the sandbox environment, you must also have a valid SSL certificate.

You seem to be going to a lot of trouble to avoid spending a few bucks on an SSL certificate.

hi, i'm helping out a client.
He says that he has other shopping carts with Google installed that don't have an SSL.

I was trying the sandbox environment using just http.

could it be anything else?

for example, google checkout works on this website:

if you add a product to shopping cart, you can use the checkout and they don't have an ssl..

Clicking on the Google Checkout button on that site (or the regular checkout button) does, in fact, display a https page.
