Our multiple products to categories just became irritatingly slow in the admin

Our multiple products to categories just became irritatingly slow in the admin section and I suspect it is an orphaned entry in the products tables connections...

Is there a way to see if there is anything that is orphaned that needs to be removed ...

specifically speaking products / products descriptions / products to categories / products attributes / products attributes download / products options /

what else would you check besides the possible orphaned entries? there is nothing registering in the slow query log...

If you haven't made any new additions to this lately then try turning off the "Category Counts" in the admin.

Configuration > My Store > Show category counts in the admin (set to FALSE).

See if that helps at all.

Thank you for the reply! I turned it to false and it still cranks for almost 1/2 a min.

Any other suggestions? it is the only part of the store that runs like a slug and i have my suspicions that it might be a mismatch or something in the database... heeelllppp :) :) please :) and thank you !
