Product image question

I'm not sure if this thread should be here or in the Customizing the look of your shop section.

I added multiple products to my shop and the pictures next to the item when the products are listed are very blurry.
I can go to the product, and click on the image to see a larger one which looks great, but the smaller one is not good at all.

Is it possible to use a small image for the product listing and another larger image when the customer click on it to see a larger one?

Re: Product image question

There are lots of image settings in admin. It sounds like you're forcing Zencart to resize a very large image to a small size, which will make it fuzzy, but there's no way to know for sure without a link to your site.

Re: Product image question

Oh and I don't mind using 2 different pictures, one small for the list and one bigger when the customer click on the image, I just don't know how to do it.
When I enter a new product, there is only 1 image link.
How can I specify 2, one for the thumbnail and one when the user click on it?

Re: Product image question

There's a pretty thorough explanation here:

https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=224

or you might consider the Image Handler 2 mod, which will do all the resizing for you.

Besides the squishy appearance, having Zencart resize the large images means that the file size (in your case >100Kb ( should be <10Kb)) remains the same, which will slow yor page load down considerably.
