Mouse over event on image on listing page

Hi I want to wrap the image file in listing page with a div tag so i can put a mouse over event that will enlarge the image.
Ive been looking for $list_box_contents to see where it is constructed?
Ive tryed the moudules/product_listing.php file but my site seems not to be using it. I even tried deleting it see if it has an effect but it didnt.
Any help would be great.
