Adding MPN to Product Pages (Manufacturers Part Number)

Hey Gang,

What's the easiest way to add identifying fields to the database and product pages, such as MPN (Manufacturer's Part Number). With our store, we send the supplier's SKU as the "model" field, but the SKU is not related to the MPN.

Many people would search our store based on the MPN, and get no results, since the MPN (although it's in our supplier's feed) is not in the product listing anywhere.

I've installed that auctions mod to get UPC code, etc., but MPN wasn't one of the fields for it.

Thanks in advance!
Fred

Re: Adding MPN to Product Pages (Manufacturers Part Number)

Melanie,
Yeah - exactly - I already have that installed ... I just can't seem to figure out how to get the additional fields displayed on the Product Page. This contribution gives you more fields in the /admin for data entry, but the fields don't show up on the product page:

From the Read Me:
DESCRIPTION:

Adds two new fields to the products.php page for UPC and ISBN;

I want to add a lot more of those fields to the products.php page besides UPC and/or ISBN ... I've tried to copy/paste the code and change the products_upc, etc., to be the other mysql fields, but no luck.
