Stop Special Offer Price From Applying to Attributes As Well?

Hi,

I have a product with a 10% special offer discount applied to it. How can I stop that 10% discount applying to the product attribute as well (in my case a choice of gift boxes)?

For example a gift box which should cost £10 extra costs £9 on that discounted product. How can I stop this?

One of the colored boxes next to the attribute's settings in the Attributes Controller lets you tell it to not apply specials to that attribute.
