Display Selected Manufacturers - Is this possible?

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody could help on this.

I have a list of over 300 manufacturers and it is way too many to
display all of them in the list sidebox. I had set it to MAX 50 and
the sidebox displayed with a scroller.

For aesthetic reasons, I wanted to display the only the top 20
manufacturers as selected by me on the sidebox so there will
be no scroller.

Is this possible?

I think in an effort to run fast and efficiently that this box is best created by hand. This stops all queries for the manufacturers and gives you full control.... Looks in contribs for editable sidebox
