Linking quantity with 2 or more items

A chair is a chair is a chair. (Well in our case... folding)

I've tried searching - but on what word...

So I've got Adult tickets and Children'a tickets but only 200 chairs. How do I link the sales together?

Your post is a little light on information, but it sounds like you're selling seats to an event, and there are two ticket prices - Adults and Children.

You would make the seat the product (with a quantity of 200) and set up two attributes, with pricing by attribute.

My sales page now has

Adult [ ] (+$10.00)
Child [ ] (+$6.00) (and the box) Add to Cart: 1
add this to my cart

When I click on Add to Cart I get 1 adult at $0 and 1 child at $16. The total is right. I've missed something. Hope you can tell from above what I did wrong.

In the product setup page in Admin - Catalog, is the product set to Price By Attributes and the product price to 0.00 ?

Wasn't, is now. (the price by att). But now Att-1 Adult, $10 and Att-2 Child, $6 gives me a ticket at $16 per.

OK, I've got "1" product, no price. Now before I had adult & child and atts lower left: Adult [ ] $10 & Child [ ] $6 with the add to cart [ 1 ] lower right. When I clicked on A2C the next page looked good and you could set both numbers and the right price but only deducted from Adult count.

So it's working OK now, except the stock isn't being deducted properly ?

If you have the attribuites set up properly, it's the product, not the attribute, where stock is tracked. There is a mod which allows stock by attribute, but you said 'a chair is a chair is a chair'.
