Isn't there supposed to be a Credit Card option for offline processing?

Isn't there supposed to be a Credit Card option in the standard payment module for offline processing?

I've got 3 Authorize.net options, Cash on Delivery, Zen Cart FREE CHARGE CARD, FirstData/Linkpoint/YourPay, Check/Money Order, and 3 PayPal options, and that's it.

How do I get an option there for offline credit card processing???

This was removed in 1.3.9 because it's not PCI Compliant.

The very confusing thing is that it still seems to be in the documentation. It would save confusion if there were instead an explanation of the removal.

I thought there might be something defective with my Zen Cart installation. Glad to know that's not the case.

From what I know, this was removed fairly recently, like in the last month. I really was planning on doing manual entries for awhile, but now I have to make other arrangements.......

It was removed as of v1.3.9, which was released on April 19, 2010.
I guess 4 months is "recent" to some people. :blush:

I may have missed the announcement, but it would have been really helpful if it had been announced that this feature would be discontinued before I downloaded and upgraded. A gateway is cost prohibitive for a business of my size. The off-line processing feature was one of the most important features to my type and scale of business.:(

is anyone using the CEON option?

Ceon's option is (technically) far, far better than the original (now defunct) ZC module.

The PCI compliance issue still holds, however...

The CEON mod is the workaround for people who require manual credit card.
