If you just want to style the H1, then just look for H1 by itself.
Here you are styling .productGeneral and not H1.
That CSS says stlye anything named .productGeneral that's inside a #productName tag that's inside an H1 tag.

Edit: Sorry I mistook Hi for H1, lol.

Try this:
h1#productName, .productGeneral

You need a space inbetween h1 and #productName.

Thanks for your input .. i had already tried adding the space and many other variations but its still not working. With the addition of the comma .. it styles the whole description as well.

Did you try and put } onto the next line?
Right now you have it at the very end of that line, and maybe it has to be on a seperate line.

And I believe you need a space after :

Try this:

h1 #productName .productGeneral {
font-size: 0.8em;

And I think .8 is pretty small for a header size.

Well I tried it on my site and it seems to work.
There must be something overriding that style.

Hi thanks for your support but I have exactly what you have space included and the bracket at the end of the line or the next line makes no difference .. purely a personal preference.

I even copied and pasted your code and commented out mine and it still makes no difference. I added red to the code and made the font bigger STILL no difference .. I even put a background colour on it. This line of code is not affecting this element. I dont know what you did to make it work when we have the exact same code:dontgetit

You should stick your css in the The W3C CSS Validation Service.

Yeah I searched all your css stlyes and couldn't find it.
But maybe when you clear up the errors, it should fix itself.

I'd just create a temp stlye sheet and just input that code and see if that works. Just that code and nothing else to see if it works.
Just make sure you back up your original style sheet, delete it from the web and upload the other one.
I'd just change the font size and see if it works.

Hi did the validator .. 99% of those errors are zen cart styles that I have not touched. As for creating a temporary style sheet .. I think you have already established that it works and there is something over-riding it.

One of the errors 624 .sideBoxContent Property -moz-border-radius-bottomright doesn't exist : 5px 5px

sometimes I dont understand the output .. when it says it doesnt exist .. well it does .. i know this property is not supported in IE and am wondering whether that is why it says it doesnt exist when it clearly does. :dontgetit

I didn't have that css styling tag on my site.
I put the code at the bottom of my css.
Paste it into a new css file and try it out and see if it works.
Just remeber to back up your original css file.
Also when putting your original one back in, you may want to delete the old one first.
I put your css on my site and did this. But when I copied my original over it, there was still some styling left over from yours. So I had to delete the one on the site first.

Sorry not sure how to do that and it sounds like a lot of trouble with the potential to really muck things up if you dont know what your doing. I will just stick with the styles as they are but I really appreciate all your help:D
