Product not showing in picture

For some reason my products are not showing up in the picture its just a white box with a small red x in it,is it a zencart problem or is it on my end some one please take a look and please help me....

Not a Zen Cart issue. Check where you've uploaded the images. For the @logo hoodie, the path to the image is http://adicted2artclothing.com/images/SDC15573.jpg

its still not working i tried 2 different things a flash drive and a external drive same pic....i dont get it...

Try not using spaces in your picture names. Use a dash "-" or underscore "_" instead. Does that help?

Sorry ignore that, not all your product images are like that. Wish I could be more helpful =/

Either those images aren't in your /images folder, or the permissions of that folder aren't allowing them to be read.

It is a good idea not to have spaces in file names, though, especially on Linux servers.

I tried that its still not working it even says it uploaded successfully right before i aprove it,its making me frustrated really.Anyone else have suggesstions?

And when you check the /images folder using your FTP program, the images are all there ?

It may be the /images folder isn't writable.

can that be fixed? if so haw can i do that...the pictures are viewable when i preview them on my pc but its just when i upload them that they will not show up,could it be that zencart has a bug?

It works for everybody else, so it's not a bug.

Did you check the contents of the /images folder and its permissions using your FTP program?

If you don't have an FTP program, download and install Filezilla and enter your hosting account's user name and password.

download client or server? and what does this do fix any or find any problems...and repair it?

An FTP client will show you information from your local compuiter and your website side by side and help you see what's going on in each. It won't "fix" anything on its own.

I am having this same issue. When I upload the preview to the store, there is the little red x. There are no spaces in the name so I know that isn't the problem. It was working before and now it isn't. Please help!!

Download something like Filezilla FTP (Client) and see if your images are actually in the /images folder. If they are not, right click and change the permissions for /images to 777. When you are done uploading change permissions back to 755.

i cant seem to work the ftp client its kinda difficult to manuver...any help?

sometimes it's all about how the extension is named.

I have a similar problem like that where I upload the image thru FTP and check my site and the picture doesn't load even if the name is correct and the file location is correct.

What happened? Well sometimes when I upload it appears as picture.JPG when I typed out categoryimage/picture.jpg.

so do i contact the site host to get further help?

shawnstar86, afo already pointed out that the problem is related to something amuck in your server configuration. ie: visiting this image gives a 500-internal-server-error: http://adicted2artclothing.com/images/SDC15573.jpg

So, if you need to engage your hosting company for help, ask them why your images are throwing 500-Internal-Server-Error messages, and point them to an actual image.

You can probably find the cause of the problem yourself by looking at the server's apache error log if you have access to it. Your hosting company can show you how to find it.

A quick test you can do is to rename your /images/.htaccess file to htaccess_OFF and then try to visit the image via that link again.
If your images suddenly start working, then that confirms again that it's a server configuration problem that's conflicting with the security protections in the /images/.htaccess file.
Your hosting company will have to help you sort out what things on their server are conflicting with those security protections.
