Max rows per page with categories

Is there a way to set the max rows per page or max categories per page?

I have 55 categories on a page, lined up in 3 columns (using column layout grid add-on). I'd like to display the page about 10 rows at a time.

The setting for max products per page seems to work on my page that displays products, but not the one that is displaying categories.

Am I missing something? :cool:

Far as I know, there's no way to paginate the categories listings in the center column in admin, nor is there a mod to do that.

If you are correct, and nothing I have found so far contradicts your answer, I guess the solution is to break up the categories across several pages and/or sub-categorize them further, until there are fewer per page.

Our dilemma is that nearly all of our products are categories, because we are using sub-categories to display products with dependent attributes. A typical product comes in 2 sizes, and each size has 3 different flavor options, and each flavor option has different pricing. :ohmy:

That's the only way I can see to do it. You didn't say what you're selling or if all products have the same sizes and flavors, but:

Large Ones

• Product
• Flavor (1.00)
  • Flavor (1.20) -- Attributes
  • Flavor (1.40)

Small Ones

etc.
