I need a Push::: Modifying Category & Product Pages

GREETZ

I'm new to ZC and LOVIN' IT!!! I have total confidence its gonna give me all the functionality/flexibility I need. I get the template override system, I'm well-versed in CSS, (X)HTML - passible in php.

My question today is some confusion on the directory structures and program flow. I am conforming my own design for all the pages and so far the main page is what I want. I have test products that when i click on their categories I get ZC's formatting for the products in that categories.

Where (what files/directories) do I start in creating my modified and overriding code for the cat/product pages? cats are called: CLOTHING, LINGERIE, DRESSES, YOGA WEAR.

11 hours of reading faqs and other posts has me comatose.

If you're using regular Product-General products (the default) then the template that displays the product information when clicking on a particular product is tpl_product_info_display.php

Thanx for your quick reply ... actually I phrased my question wrong - although your answer solves a subsequent need.

My intent was to identify what file governs the layout of the page that displays products in a category. A quick answer would be appreciated, but i will certainly keep on digging.

Thanx again ... the support here is unsurpassed, and i'm on a LOT of various forums.

tpl_index_product_list.php is for viewing the products within a selected category
tpl_index_categories.php shows a list of subcategories within a selected category
