Blank page on zc_install/index.php

Hello there.

I'm trying to update my demo store from 1.3.7 to 1.3.9e.

I have done all of the files and followed the instructions closely, but when I try to access the /zc_install/index.php part to upgrade the database, I just get a white page.

Nothing on the page at all.

Please can anyone advise?

What version of PHP?

According to the version bit in the admin area, its PHP Version 4.4.9.

Thanks very much, I made the change you provided and all is good.

If I was to switch the php version to the latest, will it have any effect on the store config for my live site (they are on the same server), or will everything function correctly?

Zen Cart 1.3.8a and older are NOT compatible with PHP 5.3 and newer. (ZC 138a is okay with PHP 5.2 ... but ZC 137 is not.)

I suggest you upgrade your Zen Cart to the latest first, and then upgrade your PHP to the latest.
