Will copying canonical support code into 1.3.8 shop files do any harm?

Am low on time lately and am wondering if I did a fast dirty code paste of the code without any database patching needed (?)

Hi,

Trying to back port parts of v1.3.9 to v1.3.8 is likely to cause problems. A while back DrByte posted some instructions to add basic canonical url support to v1.3.8 you could try...

I'd just go for the upgrade. If your too busy to do the upgrade, you can have your host do it for you. And if the upgrade fails, you can always revert back to the previous database.
