Creating A Sub category in a Category

Hey Everyone,

New to this forums n to the zen card so please bear with me. I did google and look around but i cant seem to find an answer.

I am setting up a site where in the Category i want it to have sub categories

SO how i want it to look on the left column:

Item
-A
-B
-C

then a client can click the letter of there choice

an example of what i want is displayed at https://www.otterbox.com then you click on blackberry cases it will show u a sub category and also a sub category on display and then a client can click which model they want..

Hope i didn't confuse you all. Any help would be appreciated
