Attribute Option and Option Value Do NOT Match

I am getting the follwing message when I try to add attributes to a page; "Attribute Option and Option Value Do NOT Match- Attribute was not added - : TEXT". I do not understand why this attribute will not work, I have no difficulty with things such as colour, tension and size. I am trying to set the gauge of guitar string as a choice of number, e.g. 10. I have tried setting these values as dropdown, radio, checkbox and even text but cannot get them to work, any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Re: Attribute Option and Option Value Do NOT Match

"Attribute Option and Option Value Do NOT Match

Have you tried it like this?

Create the Option Name = String Gauge (sounds like you know how to do this)

Then go to Option Values, select String Gauge, and create the values
you want to associate with this Option Name, ie: 10, 20, 30.

Option values have to be matched to an option name to be valid, or you get the error above. Method of selection (drop down, radio, ect) shouldn't have any effect, just sounds like you don't have the names and values matched.

Hope this helps

Re: Attribute Option and Option Value Do NOT Match

In phpMyAdmin, check to see what you have in the table:
products_options_types

Next, in your Zen Cart Admin ...

Check to see what the Option Type is for the Option Name that you use for the Option Name:
String Gauge

Next, in the Zen Cart Admin ...

Check to see what you have for the Option Name for the Option Values for the Gauges ... are they all set to:
String Gauge
