zc_install/index.php displayed when moving to Local MAMP

I have copied a client website via FTP and set it up again locally in MAMP. I have also exported and re-imported the database and setup the correct user credentials. However I am getting the following werror when browsing the new local test site:

zc_install/index.php was not found on this server.

Any ideas appreciated as i have been checking everything including database details, configure.php etc....

This message indicates that Zen Cart doesn't agree that all is correct. Possible reasons are that it can't find one or other of the configure files, can't find or write to the cache folder or can't connect to the database. So it's concluding that the installation is incomplete and trying to start again from scratch.
