Help with resetting downloads

On my order pages in admin I see the legend for the downloads, but the products do not have any buttons next to them to reset. There is no download information listed for the orders (status, file name, days, count). Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Help with resetting downloads

Under the product name, is there a bulleted list of selected attributes including option names and values?
If not, then the customer didn't actually add the attribute to their cart when they added the product ... because they didn't select the attribute first.

Re: Help with resetting downloads

Do you see Attributes on the Order made for the Order with the Download(s)?

Next, find the Product in the Attributes Controller ...

1 Do you see Attributes for the Downloads?

2 Do you see filenames for the Downloads?

3 Do you see green dots or red dots for the Downloads?

A couple checks to make in phpMyAdmin ...

1 check the orders_products table and search for the orders_id ... do you find Products?

2 check the orders_products_attributes table and search for the orders_id ... do you find Attributes?

3 check the orders_products_download table and search for the orders_id ... do you find Downloads?

Re: Help with resetting downloads

I sell only downloads...my customers have never had any issues receiving their downloads, I just cannot monitor or reset them. All of my files are linked correctly and being received with no problems. The only problem is in the backend...somewhere, I'm just not sure where.

Here is a shot of my admin orders page...

I only noticed this today (my shop is new) so I'm guessing it's been this way the whole time.

Could you perhaps answer the questions that I asked you a week ago?

Re: Help with resetting downloads

Okay ... so you are saying that you have an orders_id and see the Order in the:
/admin/orders.php

and you see the orders_id in the:
orders
orders_products
orders_products_attributes
orders_products_download

for this orders_id ...

Yet you do not see it on the Order itself when you edit it ...

Could you check the file:
/admin/orders.php

and around the line 543 you should see:

  // show downloads
  require(DIR_WS_MODULES . 'orders_download.php');

make sure the require line is not commented out ...

Next, check the file:
/admin/includes/modules/orders_download.php

Could you check that this file is the same file that comes with your Zen Cart that you have installed and is not missing, damaged or otherwise corrupt on the server ...

Re: Help with resetting downloads

So far, this is not making a lot of sense that this is what you are seeing ...

Just a dumb question, you do not need to scroll down further or further to the right in your browser or anything silly like that ... do you?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Is this a Clean Install or an Upgrade?

If this is an Upgrade, what version did you Upgrade from?

Has this ever worked for you?

Re: Help with resetting downloads

I wish it were that simple, but no I don't need to scroll anywhere to see any more of the page.

I have 1.3.9d and it was a clean install (done by someone else).
As far as I know it has never worked, I only just noticed it the other day when I went in to look at an order. So i'm guessing it has something to do with the lady who installed and set up my shop...I'm just having trouble getting a hold of her, so I was hoping someone here could help me fix it myself, because like you said it doesn't make any sense. I haven't had to use the feature yet, but if I do it would be nice to have handy!

Re: Help with resetting downloads

Could you look in the /cache directory to see if you see any debug logs related to this ...

They are created when an error occurs and will be dated as such ...

Re: Help with resetting downloads

Ok...I'll show you what I found that could pertain (I am def not a computer wiz, which is why I hired someone to do the install for me)

Debug Log:

[08-Aug-2010 09:32:58] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function zen_date_diff() in /home/lsdweb/public_html/store/adSar76min/includes/modules/orders_download.php on line 40

Line 40 of orders_download.php

case ($orders_download->fields['download_maxdays'] != 0 && (zen_date_diff($order->info['date_purchased'], date('Y-m-d')) > $orders_download->fields['download_maxdays'])):

I'm sure this might mean something to you, but to me it's a foreign language.

Re: Help with resetting downloads

Your /admin/includes/functions/general.php is out of date.
Either you're using an old version from an old release of Zen Cart, or you've installed an addon that contains an older version of that file.

I suggest you rename the existing one from .php to .bak, and upload the right one corresponding to your actual version of Zen Cart.
If you're using v1.3.8a or older, then you're going to have other problems too. Hopefully you're more up to date than that.
