Trouble getting installed. Hosting company won't help.

I have had Zencart for a while, Im familuar with the admin section but the inner workings are new to me in the hosted server area concerning mySQL. My problem is Im on a PC not a server at work. I use a hosted server that's Apache. My data base shows 0 file size when I look it up on the hosted site. When I goto the mySQL section I see all three files with information in them. Why arent my products displayed and how can I correct this problem not being knowledable in mySQL or the inner workings, what area do I upload my database files to to make my products visable on my website. My other hosting company once helped me with this...my new company doesnt do much for their money and my databases stil are not loaded...How can I load them in simple directions and eventualy change hosting companies to a much lower costing one and one that doesnt mind helping someone like me...any ideas??? They can ONLY either be empty "0" size or have information in them not both

Well, it does appear that a database is loaded because some products show up and the cart works......if the database were empty it wouldn't even show up.

I loaded a few products by hand to see if I had a problem with the program, they have nothing to do with my previous 700 + products and pics listed before...my question was... where and how do I upload my backup files to so my 700 + products...along witrh the few i entered myself...will be in the database and be displayed...when I look into the mySQL area I see numbers next to the three files associated with my database files, when I look into the darabase name association area I see 0 next to the three files I see listed in the mySQL area...I hope this time I have stated my problem more clearly , do I need to create a table or file I was asking for help not a smart ###### answer from someone who knows this programming and doesnt have a problem like the response above...

If you look at the contents of your file
/includes/configure.php
At the bottom your Database name is defined
This is the ONE and only DB that you should be looking at

I do not know aht you mean by the highlighted comments
There are not/should not be 3 files

I suspect he is talking about backup files of the database inside of the admin/backups folder.....
If he is not then I do not know why there would be 3 database files, unless they are additional backups of the database....if they are then the trick is to figure out which is the most recent first......then download it....then go into phpmyadmin inside of host 99's cPanel and goto the database, select all tables, drop, and then import the backup you downloaded to your local machine....
That sounds simple but if you don't know what you are doing, and Mr. Mayeaux fits the description of not understanding the process, there are opportunities to screw it up royally......so be sure to export a copy of the current database when in phpmyadmin before dropping the tables.......now it gets more complicated if you are looking to only bring in the products only and not worry about previous orders, customers and such.....but thats a whole different post..........and since I am sure this is an upgrade and the database you want to import is the old 1.3.8a you will need to run the upgrader after importing the old database to upgrade the database from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9e adding another layer to the process.....remember that backups before doing anything are your friend and will allow you to backup if it gets screwed up......

and because I can't help being a smart ### these 2 items,
"much lower costing one and one that doesn't mind helping someone like me" are diametrically opposed to each other. Remember anyone cheaper is going to be a general purpose host and is going to have no clue how to fix what you want, or anything else related to Zen Cart.....at best they will send you here to ask your questions.......
