language reverts to english on logoff

I have my development shop (upgraded to 1.38e) and a vanilla 1.38e on the same local xampp server.

After navigating in spanish and then logging off (all in classic template), the dev. shop always reverts to english, and the vanilla always stays in spanish, irrespective of the admin session cookie options.

"Obviously its a modified file somewhere".. well I have swapped out all the directories for vanilla ones, one by one and can't fix it.

The configure.phps are the same apart from the alias and cache directories.

I assume it is some cookie issue.

The web version of the dev shop works ok but I would like to know what is really going on if someone can point me in a likely direction,

thanks
Steve

Re: language reverts to english on logoff

it seems the browser default content preferences influences this, but not 100%..

locale - spanish, browse in spanish, logoff stays in spanish
locale - english, browse in spanish, logoff goes to english
locale - spanish, browse in english, logoff stays in english
(locale - english, browse in english, logoff stays in english)

It's unclear what your goal is.

My other half has told me that she has seen the shop revert to english sometimes while browsing and so since the logoff reverts to english (when I assume it should stay in the chosen language) I was looking for info on the mechanism to see if there is a problem somewhere.

I assume this is all session/cookie related?

Yes, it's a session issue, as described in the bug fix that addressed it in v1.3.5: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41221
Maybe you've got something conflicting with the built-in logic?
