Where's my admin page?

I just completed the upgrade to 1.3.9 and the site appears at distinctivedog.com/store_new. The old site is at /store. They are both set to "down for maintenance." I need to finish the payment and shipping settings in the 1.3.9 site however when I go to distinctivedog.com/store_new/admin/index.php I get this message:

0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
in:
[select * from zen_project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I used the same login and passwords for the old and new sites and I am able to log into the old site. Maybe there is a setting I missed somewhere in the configure files. I appreciate any help.

Re: Where's my admin page?

Compare your /includes/configure.php file DB details that appear to be working to your admin/includes/configure.php DB details

Insure that they are identical

Re: Where's my admin page?

I compared the current site's back up to the new one. I compared both Configure files in admin/includes and includes. There were no differences between the files except where I changed the instances of /store to /store_new. Is it possible that one of those instances should have remained /store? Here are the /includes/configure.php differences:

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store_new/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/store_new/');

//the following path is a COMPLETE path to your Zen Cart files. eg: /var/www/vhost/accountname/public_html/store_new/
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/content/d/i/s/distinctivedog/html/store_new/');

define('DB_SERVER', 'distdogstore.db.6471944.hostedresource.com');
define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'xxxxxxx');
define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'xxxxxxxx');
define('DB_DATABASE', 'xxxxxxx');

define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/content/d/i/s/distinctivedog/html/store_new/cache');

NO - All paths should be identical

At the risk of sounding silly, shouldn't ONLY the DB paths be the same, NOT the catalog paths. The store installation is at:
*_new

... so the path for the catalog is correct, it is only the DB which does not have a correct path... correct??

Re: Where's my admin page?

So, is it a DB issue? I have no idea what is wrong or where to fix the problem at this point. I am creating the store at /store_new for testing and then I will bring it over to /store. Each of these are running on separate databases. I have already upgraded /store_new but again, no admin page.:frusty:

No, read the question asked & quoted

Not one /store while others /store_new

Duh??
You initially posted
distinctivedog:

You correctly x'd out the DB Details
BUT
Use a fine tooth comb and compare charachter by charachter the DB Details of the 2 configure files
The /includes is the correct one

Ok, I read it as 'both installations config paths should ALL match'. :huh:

Gotcha.

You were saying "each install should have only one OR the other".
:cool:

Re: Where's my admin page?

I had this posted elsewhere, but no responses.

My live site is on /store and is in "down for maintenance" mode. My upgraded site is /store_new. I have read the upgrade documentation but want to see if my approach is correct.

  1. rename /store to another name like /store_old.
  2. rename /store_new to /store.
  3. within /store_new (now /store) change references of /store_new to /store within admin/include/configure.php and include/configure.php.
  4. delete /store_old files.
  5. delete database associated to /store_old

Is this the correct process and is there anything else I'm missing?
