A couple of small issues that I need help with...

Here are the following issues I would like help with, all of which occur on the main page of MY SITE:

  1. My GoDaddy link at the bottom of the page, in the footer, is displaying underneath my Authorize.net link. Although it appears that the link location is still in the right spot if you mouseover the far right empty spot where it should be.

  2. There is a small white bar that runs right above my buttons at the bottom of the page directly above the footer and the Home, Size Charts, etc... buttons. I would like to remove it, it is unnecessary for me.

  3. I already posted this one, but I am still trying to figure it out. I want to reduce the size of the facebook and twitter widgets I have embedded in my site and put them side by side. When I do this, they remain in the same spot and I can't get them to appear side by side. Not sure if this is because one is an iframe and the other is javascript fed, but either way, surely there is a solution to get these side by side.

I am running Zencart 1.3.8a, don't think I matters, but just in case it does.

Your help will be greatly appreciated :smile:

FYI , I still consider myself a glorified newbie so break it down for me.

  1. You've got a case of 'divitis' and you need to post the code from your footer that contains these elements.

  2. place this line in your stylesheet.css **#navSupp {display:none;}

**3. They're appearing side by side for me on Firefox 3.6.8

Re: A couple of small issues that I need help with...

Thank you for the reply, here is my responses:

  1. Here is the code for the footer:

**<!--bof- site copyright display -->

<div id="siteinfoLegal" class="legalCopyright"><?php echo FOOTER_TEXT_BODY; ?><br />Design by <a href="http://www.ibsolutionsco.com" target="_blank">Interactive Business Solutions Co.</a> <div class="footerstuff"> <!-- (c) 2005, 2009. Authorize.Net is a registered trademark of CyberSource Corporation --> <div class="AuthorizeNetSeal"> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">var ANS_customer_id="MY ID";</script> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="//verify.authorize.net/anetseal/seal.js" ></script> <a href="https://www.authorize.net/" id="AuthorizeNetText" target="_blank"></a></div> <div class="footerstuff"><!-- Begin Official PayPal Seal --> <a href="https://www.paypal.com/verified/pal=iMY INFO" target="_blank"> <img src="https://images.paypal.com/images/verification_seal.gif" border="0" alt="Official PayPal Seal"></a> <!-- End Official PayPal Seal --> </div> <div class="footerstuff"><a href="https://www.PositiveSSL.com" title="SSL Certificate Authority" style="font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; text-decoration: none;"><img src="/images/PositiveSSL_tl_white.gif" alt="SSL Certificate Authority" title="SSL Certificate Authority" border="0" /><br /></a></div> <div class="footerstuff"><span id="siteSeal"><script type="text/javascript" src="//tracedseals.starfieldtech.com/siteseal/get?scriptId=siteSeal&sealId=MY ID"></script><br/><style="font-family: arial; font-size: 1px" ></a></span></div>

Here is the CSS:

**.footerstuff img {
float: left;
padding: 5px 3px 3px 65.5px;
}

#siteinfoLegal {
padding: 5px 3px 95px 3px;
}**

<!--eof- site copyright display --></div>**
  1. Tried adding that but it didn't change anything.

  2. Perhaps you looked at the Amazon Music stuff at the bottom, which is side by side. Facebook and Twitter are on top of one another. There is a break there, but I remove that during testing, so that is not the issue. I too am using Firefox 3.6.8., so I should see the same as you.

  1. in the <div id="siteinfoLegal" class="legalCopyright"> you forgot the close the tag. Add </div> at the end like this

**<!--bof- site copyright display -->

<div id="siteinfoLegal" class="legalCopyright"><?php echo FOOTER_TEXT_BODY; ?><br />Design by <a href="http://www.ibsolutionsco.com" target="_blank">Interactive Business Solutions Co.</a></div>**
  1. should be** #navSupp ul {display:none;}**

  2. still seeing them side by side. Screenshot please.

Re: A couple of small issues that I need help with...

O.k. I will clarify exactly what I want. I want them to be side by side like this:

XXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
X......................X X..............................X
X...Facebook.....X X....Twitter...............X
X......................X X..............................X
XXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

NOT LIKE THIS, as they are right now:

XXXXXXXXXXXXX
X......................X
X...Facebook.....X
X......................X
XXXXXXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXXXXXX
X......................X
X...Twitter........X
X......................X
XXXXXXXXXXXXX

The other code didn't change anything either, not crucial but would still like it to go away.

I will do the other change in the footer and see what happens.

Re: A couple of small issues that I need help with...

Alright, I solved #3 and posted the solution in it's original post under something like how to control an iframe.

#2 Not solved, but I imagine if I search a little more I will find it.

#1 I would think that I can solve this issue with the same approach as I used with #3. Basically using the <ul> <li> stuff. We shall see.
