build to order - no inventories

I was hoping someone could explain to me how to setup a product that is a built to order. The product is not kept in an inventory so the basically I want to turn the inventory functions off for the products in this store front. I have raw materials that are not part of zen-cart and they are used to build the product that the person is ordering.

There is a setting to not track/control stock

Thanks I found it.

Can you tell me if there is a switch somewhere that turns of the "units in stock" field on the product detail page?

Can you tell me if there is a switch somewhere that turns of the "units in stock" field on the product detail page?
admin > catalog > product types > select product general > select edit layout at the right > Show Quantity in Stock
