500 Internal Server Error on GoDaddy hosting

I think that the answer is obvious - change hosts. I'm not saying this to try and attract business, because our company is UK based and you appear, from the spelling of the word jewellery as 'jewelry', to be USA based.

Don't make the same mistake again of going for cheap hosting offering mega bandwidth with mega webspace for a silly price.

This time - go for Linux hosting and not Windows.

Well, I just upgraded to a 503 error :clap: which means the server is down for one reason or another. Good bye Go Daddy.

As I posted on another thread I get the same issue with long execution times and often a 500 internal error.
They constantly where blaming the shop scripts, so I record my login to the phpmyadmin which godaddy have setup
and it took about 180 secs for the interface to load so I could'nt use it.

I sent this to them and they sent back advising:
Your site appears to be loading fine now. If you are still having intermittent issues with site speed I would again have to recommend
that you optimize the code for efficiency to ensure the content loads as fast as possible. Please review all your connection strings to
ensure that they are closed at the end of each query.

I have advised them its an intermittant issue.

They also suggest:
If you feel that this is not a coding issue and optimizing the scripting is not an option, you may want to consider purchasing one of our
virtual dedicated or dedicated hosting accounts.

I am currently on the deluxe grid hosting.

Classic attempt to upsell rather than fix the problem.
Great business model: sell cheap hosting, add a "deluxe" version it can be priced higher than the essentially-identical non-deluxe version, overload it so people can't stand the slowness, and when they complain make them upgrade to more expensive hosting, which is also crap. Point the blame to the software anytime there's a complaint in hopes that the customer doesn't pick up on the real root of the problem.
They're just a money grab.

No, it just means that you are "forbidden" from accessing it.

In another thread I just saw someone refer to GoDaddy as GoDiddly - which seems to sum it up nicely.

But something odd just occurred while logging into my site admin.
While logging in I received a cPanel Great Success notification written on it, which I haven't seen in years.
It happened again after I changed the password on my wife's admin account.
Just to be sure, I inspected the element and voila, it was what I thought it was, but GD doesn't use cPanel, and even if they did, why would I receive that message on my site admin login??

I've tracked down this issue, for anyone intersted. It's being caused by Sxipper, a Firefox form fill Addon. Unfortunately the author has stopped supporting it and the familiar dropdown, "Would you like Sxipper to Remember this password" has been replaced as I'm guessing the originals are not being hosted by the developer??

Todays dropdown is the Google Nav bar, complete with active links.
Whew, I thought I had a security issue.
