How do i remove the banner from footer?

Hey guyz i have just installed Zen Cart and i saw the banner in the footer of the site..i am unable to remove it
can anyone help please..

You can turn of the boxes in the admin >> tools >> layout boxes controller. Banners can be managed in admin >> tools >> banner manager.

Can you tell me which box turns on the banner box in the footer; I've turned them all off and on in the layout boxes area to determine which one it is but still can't figure it out. Thanx

Yes ,I did read it but maybe I'm missing something. I can create banners and have them appear in my sideboxes but I am unable to have the footer banner apear.

Check your Groups in the Banner Manager. Need wide to show under the footer.

I believe I deleted the wide banners from the banner management area at one time can you tell me how to recreate them?

I could but it would probably be more beneficial to the learning process to see where you might create a wide-banner. :yes:

Start by clicking new banner in the banner manager or highlight an existing banner and click the edit button.

BTW, Ajeh did a great tutorial on Banners. Just go to the tutorials and enter banner in the search

Ok, I discovered a few things #1 the footer banner is not controlled in the layout box area and therefore can not be removed by simply turning off the box the way the sideboxes can be. #2 if you delete the banner group "Wide-Banners" on purpose or by accident the footer banner will not appear. :clap:

I was looking for a way to get rid of banners in the footer. The last comment helped a bit, but I want to provide more specific directions for the next person...

In the Admin -> Configuration -> Layout Settings I deleted everything in the Banner Display Groups - Footer Position. Leaving them blank means no banners will display.
