Account Required for Purchase

Hello,

I honestly believe that I have lost over 3 dozen customers this past weekend because they are required to login first. Using the Who's Online feature I can see the shoppers that have placed items in their cart. After they have selected all their items, they want to pay but have to login and thats the last thing they click on. After 3 minutes the green turns to yellow. After 15 min, they disappear. It's really depressing.

This thread says that this capability is being looked at it the road map. https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=16. I looked at the road map and the date was 2008.

Has there been any changes? Can a customer buy without creating an account?

You need to know where to ship and to who to complete the order and also try to prevent fraudlent orders....
Use the english.php to alter the text displayed to something other than create account
