buy now button not on category page?

Using 1.3.9 and a new install. First time zc user and can't seem to get the buy now button to work on the category page. Works fine in new listing, just not in category. Let me rephrase, it's not that it doesn't work, it's just not there. Any ideas??

What specific Zen Cart v1.3.9 are you using?

If you look in the /cache directory are you seeing and debug logs?

Have you added a template? If so, what happens if you switch to the Classic Template ... does it fix it?

Have you added any add ons?

No templates - no add ons. Yes on the debug logs.

And if you read the debug logs on the server in the /cache ... what errors are they reporting to you ... :unsure:

This has to do with some changes I was trying to make. I was able to fix this issue and have not a had a new debug log since Aug 25th.

Could you change this setting:

Display Product Price/Add to Cart yes
To read:
Display Product Price/Add to Cart 3

The problem you are having is those values need to be unique numbers ...

0 is OFF ... and any other value is the display order on the screen ... that value is also an indication that this should be ON ...

Thanks for the update that you had just turned OFF the Add to Cart/Buy Now by using the "word" yes, which evaluates to 0 or OFF rather than a unique value for the display order and would evaluate to ON with a value ... :smile:
