How do I see available templates?

How do I see templates without sloooooolllly plowing through the live sites that so far have provided me with nothing?

With all the problem questions I see and no phone number for customer service, is anyone here really happy with this company?

Do I need to know html to use a template?

To see most of the free templates in action, go to (sorry, site offline) .

Support for Zen Cart is provided principally through this forum, by volunteers (including the developers). You can find some people and companies that will provide paid support by looking, but nobody is permitted to advertise here. Read the forum to see the number of longtime users who help others for free; I think you can consider them happy with the platform. Given the total number and experience range of users, there are bound to be a lot of people posting with problems or questions. What is relevant is whether their problems are solved.

Most templates can be installed by anyone who knows how to use a computer and is able to follow instructions. Modifying a template may require some degree of familiarity with HTML and CSS, and sometimes PHP. This depends on what kind of modifications you want to make. The forum is here for assistance with this.

Thank you so much for that information. I looked at the screen shots and I see the same thing as on oscommerce, a right side column. Nothing in there will really work for my company. We make enrichment products for parrots. I think I found something in oscommerce (one of the few without that column on the right), but we will see what my business partner has to say. He isn't into attractiveness, only function. He's a lot of fun...

You can turn left & right columns on or off in the admin. Some templates are coded such that that is difficult to adjust, but most will work fine switched to a single sidebar.

In the majority of templates you can turn off the right column (or the left fot the matter)

this one uses a template thats available in the downloads and as you see the right column is turned off
