Paypal - Seeing Double Status Updates

Using 1.3.9f and PayPal IPN. I've noticed on the order page, it's showing the "status" of the Paypal payment twice. This does not happen with credit card purchases. How do I get rid of the extra one?

Does this happen with every order?

This will happen to be on random orders occasionally.

It happens on all paypal orders, since upgrading to 1.3.9f.

At the risk of sounding like it's avoiding the issue, I would recommend using Express Checkout instead of IPN, since EC is much more reliable, and almost certain to not exhibit the symptoms you mention.
