Adding to bottom of main page

I want to add a paragraph to the bottom of the main page.
I obviously know how to add to the main page through the admin and define pages editor, but my product categories are on the main page and they do not appear in the define pages editor. I am only able to add the paragraph above the categories through this editor in the admin. I want to add below the categories. What is the best way to do this?

What would be the best way to do that in the tpl_main_page, just add html code or move the block of existing code down?
The tpl_main_page it difficult to read and know what block of code to move down.

You need to move the define page code, not add it again. Adding will just output the same text twice.
