Order not showing in Admin when payed via PayPal...

When a customer orders and pays via PayPal IPN, the order is not received via e-mail (even though the setting is set to do so) and it does not show in Admin at all.
However, if it is paid for via Bank Deposit, it goes to Admin and an e-mail is received.

What would be doing this please?

I have the latest version of Zen Cart installed.
I have the following modules installed:
OZpost
Simple Bank Deposit (I think that is what it is called)
Reward Points
Improved Attribute Controller
Image Handler 2
Poll Manager
Testimonial Manager
News Box Manager
Nick's Birthday Mod

Do you have PayPal Standards module turned on? If yes, those orders are getting stuck.

1. Turn PayPal Standards off. you do not need both express and standard. Just use Express.

2. to retrieve the stuck orders, install this mod.

after the installation, tally the payments in your paypal account with the orders not received in admin, find them using that module and push them to your ZC.

they are still there, so dont worry.

Thanks for your reply. I have the express installed and the standard IPN removed from Zen Cart.

What is pushorder password etc needed for the module above? I am totally confused by this module sorry.

That module can only be used to attempt to push the temporary stored-but-abandoned paypal orders into your store. It should be used with caution, as not all abandoned orders are actually paid for. Some people who refuse to turn off the IPN module have to use it regularly due to lost orders from failed communications common to PayPal's IPN architecture.

You'll have no need for it if you're using Express Checkout.

This is the problem I have....
I have had a paypal payment go through but the order is not showing.

I had the PayPal confirmation e-mail and the payment is showing but the order is not showing in admin and there is no e-mail to show there is an order...

It is really confusing me as to what I need to do...:huh:

You have a few options:
a) Use the details from the paypal email to send the order, if there's enough information there.
b) Contact the customer to collect the appropriate details, explaining that there was a problem in your system.
c) Use PayPal's IPN Notifications screen to attempt to re-send the failed transmission, if it's actually marked as failed.
d) use the pushorder addon to try to find the abandoned order and push it out of abandon status and into your orders list, deleting any orders you mistakenly push in that aren't actually paid for (you'll have to check each one, naturally). Delete the pushorder addon when done.

I ended up having to provide a refund.

I don't want the express checkout option even though it does work.
Is there a way to remove the express button but still use that set up?

Removing Express checkout would be a bad business idea. I wouldn't do it.

I strongly suggest learning how to manually do it as instructed above.

Not to mention, paypal ( I am pretty sure) requires you to have express checkout active if you want to use paypal at all.

I strongly suggest learning how to manually do it as instructed above.Those are contradictory statements. The "manually" method you mention refers to using Website Paymetns Standard/IPN, but you just said to use EC instead.

I do recommend EC over WPS. Period.

I am currently on 1.3.8a and am having the paypal 10413 errors when customers use the express option, having tried a number of fixes it seems the best course is to upgrade to the latest version of Zen Cart , in the mean time I want to not display the express option, I managed to find the appropriate code in two of three places but cannot find where I need to edit for where the option displays at the payment options stage, I am using fast and easy checkout btw.

:oops: Sorry should have added the main method of payment is PayPal Pro so I need the Express Module enabled for this to work hence why I just do not want to display this as an option.

I am building up to doing the upgrade but want to test the process rather than rush in, in the meantime I am losing sales through the error, if I could just stop it displaying in this last place I would be a lot happier, help!

I too have just started to experience this sort of problem. All of a sudden I am not receiving any notifications when sales are made, customers are not seeing orders in their account when they make purchases, no download buttons to download their products and nothing is showing in my Admin. Nothing has changed via my paypal settings and my host still haven't bothered to reply to my queries and have now had to put my store on maintenance until it gets sorted out. All notifications of payments are being received via paypal but not from my store!

I have had no upgrades or any customisation of any sort. My hosts are M2Host.com.

I have tested the store myself as have others and we are all experiencing the same thing. Only a few days ago, everything was working perfectly well, no problems whatsoever!
