Lite Red and Black Pure templates

Thank you for the message.
We update all the files that needs to be updated, so if the file you described contains any major update in new version of Zen Cart, we update the template file either.
As regards the page speed, I've just realized I missed the message with your suggestion. Thank you for that. We believe it is the best suggestion for Zen Cart team either, so they can upgrade the software and increase the page loading speed. As for now, we think it is a major update for the template and it will be much harder to support the template through Zen Cart upgrades. As a solution at the present time it would be a good request for the local modification or customization of Zen Cart for specified client.
Have you tried to post your suggestion regarding the sprite images to Zen Cart team?

Thank you for the reply. We would much appreciate if you send us your modifications regarding the sprite idea for the Black Pure Template to the support (@) pixemus.com email. We will review the information and let you know the results later.
As regards the DrByte reply, we can agree partly, but we believe it is a good improvement for shopping cart in overall due to the fact that creation of the sprite system inside the template (not shopping cart) may bring another difficulties during its creation and additional mess though the Zen Cart upgrades. In fact, it is an ideal task for design service maybe for each client who wants to have this modification.
For example, cs-cart use this sprite technology by default inside the software package:

You should turn off the "Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF" parameter in your "Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings" section.

I would like to inform that we have updated our LiteRed and BlackPure Templates. The issue is fixed, background and icons are placed to one sprite image. We have requested the updated to the "Plugins" section of Zen Cart community and they will appear soon there. For now, the updated templates are available on our site for downloading:

Thanks for the update. CSS sprites should help heaps with load times.

p.s BlackPure works great on Zen Cart 1.5.1 also not just 1.5.0 in my little tests. It would be great if you could add a changelog or version number in the zip somewhere as I find it hard to keep track of the version I have installed.

Thank you Tim! Actually, it is hard to keep track a log of the modifications. The easiest way to see the modified files and code is:

1. See changes log folder of Zen Cart, and find any files changed during Zen Cart upgrade the same as we use in our template package.
2. To use any software that allows to view files and code changes with using file compare feature.

First, thank you for this lovely and clean template (Lite Red).
I'm working on my site now, and have few questions if you can help.
1- How can I remove the "Advanced search"? I want to put a "marquee" between the search and the "your cart is empty", is that possible? I have the code to create the marquee, but not sure how to put it between these two elements.. :laugh:
2- I want to put the copyright notice of zencart with the 12leaves on one line, and add a banner just under that, I can't seem to find the file to customize this..
3- My logo is 180x206px, and I have a big white space on the right of the header. I'd like to put a banner there, like google ads banner, or any banner, or maybe a small slideshow... any idea how I can do that? I'm not a programmer, but I'd appreciate any help or article on the net that explains how to create such things.
4- I removed the default right sideboxes, and want to put banners, marquees and other content on the right, how do I do that? Or is there a way to create sideboxes for whatever content I wish?

Any help is deeply appreciated, as I'm a beginner. :blush:

Ah, also, I was customizing the contact us page, I removed the sample text and want to leave just the form for customers to fill. However, I see a text that I can't remove:

Phone

Now I have a problem, as I'm testing the site... when I add products to the cart, I can see it's a bit of a mess near the checkout... please check the image... How can I fix this? I've been looking for the file to customize, can't find it. If I can locate the file, I'll be able to fix it. Thanks

Also, when I add a product to the cart, and the page updates, it becomes all empty... something is wrong with the template..?

Thank you for using the theme.
Please, provide me the link to your site, so I will able to investigate it via Google Developer panel. Most probably, you modified the theme and due to this fact it occurs.

As regards the empty page after cart adding, there is a PHP error. You need to see the log file of the store and see the certain error and fix it. How to do it please find there:

It may occur due to incorrect theme modification wither.
