Trying to have 600px banner logo in header

Using ver d. Trying to have a 600px banner/logo in the header. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong or I've got the graphic in the wrong place.

Here's what I have in zencart/includes/languages/english/classic/header.php:

I also do not remember where I had entered the background image for the header, which I now need to remove or replace with the banner/logo. Whatever works.

It looks like you have the image in the wrong place, since I get a 'page not found' when I try to access it directly. It should be in your template's /images folder.

You are correct. I had the file in the wrong directory. The background image showed up when I put it there. I realize that a background image won't work. It will tile and if I make it larger to fill the 750px space, it won't push the rest of the content down and get partially covered.

So, back to:

Where should the enamels_top.gif file be? It's now in the template's image folder with no luck. Am I calling it incorrectly?

Well, it's not elegant but I have it up as a non-repeating background, not as a standard image. It works, although it is not the "proper" way to do it.

I don't think there's anything 'improper' about doing it that way. I think the only reason it's set up the way it is is so you can have a header background and a logo image. Most sites don't. Only downside is that your header (logo) isn't clickable to the home page.

I agree but with home links above and below the banner, it's less of an issue. Moving on the the next in a long series of challenges to solve. Thanks for your help.
