How to remove "Filter Results By" from product pages?

I'm gonna start by thanking everyone who is so willing to help newbies! I, for one, really appreciate it. What may seem easy as pie to you really stumps us!

Here's my problem: on my product pages, I have a "filter results by" drop-down menu that I want to get rid of entirely. I don't know where to go - is this an /admin thing or do I need to edit a .php file somewhere?? I want it gone from everywhere.

Try admin->configuration->product listing->include product listing alpha sorter dropdown set to false.
