Zen cart automatically updated

Hello, this happened about two weeks ago but I am still confused about it. I got an email regarding an update for Zencart that was available. I didn't do anything with it, but I think the next day I got a message saying that Zencart updated. Is there somewhere to turn off automatic updates? I'm not sure how/why it did that.

Zen Cart DOES NOT do automatic updates.
That'll be something triggered by your hosting company, and SHOULD BE TURNED OFF!

Who are you hosted with?
I'm guessing you installed with some sort of 1-click install like Fantastico? Is that correct?

Using Dreamhost, and yes it was a one click install. I will check with dreamhost. Thanks.
